You have no idea what I've experienced during these last four weeks. But here are some shots from my days - I even had a time to make a mini trip to Turku with our surprise guest. 

This month has been something, what I can remember, when I'm old. Crazy, I say, Crazy!

Cranberries in the ice ball

On Friday we had our office's Christmas party. I don't know, why I always get so mixed feelings about that kind of parties. Evening was made of OK food, bizarre restaurant, serious conversation, crazy conversations, bad singing, white wine and a bus driver who let me travel for free to home. 

I don't know from where I could find a magic energy button

There are still some weeks before my short summer break, but lots to do at work. If someone knows, how to get some extra energy (and hours) to enjoy this summer also outside of office, please tell me the secret. I love wild flowers, now I'm just afraid that I will totally miss their blooming season. I need to slow down before it's too late! 

A busy bee forgot the flowers

These last weeks have been more than busy and the same rhythm will continue. Work has taken all of my energy and I hope the results will be good - or at least satisfying. Even my flowers pass away. 

Today there will be a little bit of a birthday party, some beautiful jewels and maybe even a quick pop in the bar. I keep my camera rolling. Have a great weekend!

Summer lunch season has started

Today started the Summer lunch season: Subway lunch in the park. You bet that in the autumn, I can't eat anymore any Subway sandwiches.

Fours hours on the boat and you are fresh again

Olimme työporukalla kuunari Astridilla virkistäytymässä ja sanomassa haikeat jäähyväiset yhdelle meistä. Ilma oli upea, syksyn lämpimin päivä koskaan. Ruoka oli hyvää ja maisemat kauniita.

First woolen socks for the autumn

Last spring, when it was time to wash the woolen socks, I accidentally put my favourite socks in the washing machine. You may guess what happened: I got out a pair of felt slippers in a size of too small. I ended up to give those used-to-be-lovely socks to my goddaughter and now it's time to knit a new pair. 

My workmate Anu gave me some wool and during the shooting session I've been knitting my new favourite pair of woolen socks.

Ich heart Berlin

The short trip to Berlin was great. I just love that bizarre city and group fit very well there. On the way back there was a horrible thunder and our 1 hour 50 minutes flight was 1 hour 30 minutes delayed. You can imagine how shaky the flight was and the plane just jumped here and there on the sky. I didn't like that at all. There are pictures coming later.

Tired person can't hear (nor remember) everything

He's saying that "he told me". I'm sure he didn't. Or he thinks that he told me, but just forgot to tell me. It doesn't really matter, because it seems that he's going again to China for two weeks in the end of September. Which means that he will leave a week after Friday. And probably also again in October. Me not happy. We were planning our end of summer holiday, but I'm not sure how it's going to work out now. Maybe I'll take some trip on my own somewhere? 


Yesterday we finished the shootings and I'm just so exhausted. I don't know how I get myself back on the tracks. Luckily the trip to Berlin is soon here. 

Lucky me: A weekend

Eipä olisi voinut viikonloppu tulla parempaan aikaan. Väsymys ja yksinkertaisesti täyteläinen tyhjyys pääkopassa eivät olisi antaneet tehdä enää päivääkään töitä. Melkoisia käänteitä ja suoranaisia painivoittoja on tämä viikko pitänyt sisällään. Onneksi tuon hiukan haastavan alun jälkeen on hommat sujuneet jouhevammin, mutta olo on silti kuin tyhjäksi imetyllä Trip-mehutötsällä. Nyt otan kylvyn lehden kanssa ja vähän juustoa ja viiniä. Sen jälkeen taitaakin olla suuntana unten maat.

It could not have come any sooner (or later): the weekend. This week has been so hectic with my work and there have been lots of (not so) interesting turnups, but we did survive. Now I'm going to take a long bath with a magazine, a glass of wine with cheese and go to bed.

Tiny whiny

When you're tired and busy at work, there are certain things, which make your everyday life slightly easier. Things I appreciate are a cup of good coffee in the morning with a friend, some good laugh at work, someone's words that I'm good at what I'm doing and a fact that I can be proud of my co-workers input.

Tomorrow we start shooting again. Heavy, but light days ahead.

PS. He's coming home tonight.

Wonderful, wonderful - I could fly back to Kotka now

Näkymä viime viikonlopulta. Oli ihanaa. Nyt ei ole ihan niin ihanaa, kun pientä ressiä pukkaa töissä. Loma alkaa ensi maanantaina. Hurraa!

It just drove over me

Raaaaaaaaaah (sana, jota eräs ystäväni usein käyttää). Oon aika naatti. Ei muuta. On perjantai ja huomenna lähden karkumatkalle eräälle yksinäiselle saarelle, jonka ympäröivät kalat ovat niin myrkyllisiä, että niitä syömällä saa itsensä kipeäksi. 

Is it a thunder?

Onko ukkosta ilmassa vai käykö tuo makkarin seinän takana oleva lipputangon narun nakutus sitä lipputankoa vasten niin kovasti hermoon, että minulla on ollut päänsärkyä viimeiset kuusi tuntia. Tällä tuskin on mitään tekemistä sen kanssa, että huomenna alkaa The Kuvaukset.

Usine de papier peint et autres choses

Niin paljon töitä, niin vähän aikaa. Tänään tapasin kuuluisan linnun, sen kiurun.

Virallista se on nyt.

Some Saturdays are so fine that you wish they could continue forever

 

Yläkerrassa joku kävelee kantapäitään jyskyttäen. Tuleekohan hän kohta katosta läpi, näistä vanhoista taloista, kun ei tiedä. Olin tänään joitakin tunteja töissä ja ympärillä parveile hurjan paljon ihmisiä, lankoja, virkkuukoukkuja, vähän hikeä ja se kirkas valoilmiö tunkeutui myös sisätiloihin.

Tällaisen extempore työpäivän jälkeen palkitsin itseni ehkä Helsingin parhaimman kahvilan cappucinolla ja puntilla tulppaaneja. Viimeistelin siskon sukat (postia tulossa ensi viikolla Tampereelle), päivitin vähän siellä sun täällä. Illalla teatteriin ja toivon mukaan sen jälkeen vielä jonnekin viinilasiin nojailemaan.

Ja ehkä tässä pian muutama rivi sitä myssyä, jonka lanka on eufoorisen pehmeää. Suorastaan laitonta. Aika kiva lauantai.
