Flea market visits in NYC

Short visit, but oh so much things to do

The wedding, a new born baby, friends and family. Plus an non-planned trip to Belgium and The Netherlands. The visits to France are never too boring nor for sleeping nor resting, I should know that already.

Neighbourhood

Today we've been so effective, because there were lots of things going on just behind the corner. There were a big flea market in the biggest courtyard of Nordic Countries. I found come nice mugs and J found a small electric piano. 

Today was also Restaurant Day and even though the weather has been a bit shitty, it didn't stop us (or other people) to go around. We went to Hermanni and had amazing Vietnamese street food. I wish that kind of places would exist everyday at this neighbourhood, not only at Restaurant Day. For the desert we cycled to Kallio for a cake and coffee and some fruit drinks. 

Now it's time to watch some movies and just enjoy the rest of the day. 

Visiting Family Part 2

Siivouspäivä Hauhontiellä

Siivouspäivänä 12. toukokuuta klo 10 alkaen myös Hauhontieltä, Hauhonpuistosta löytyy kirppis! Tule tekemään löytöjä sillä kukaan ei tiedä, mitä kaikkea tuolta 1920-luvulla rakennetun talon ullakoilta ja komeroista voikaan löytyä. 

Today was Sunday

Today was a lovely Sunday with the sun, walking, flea market, meeting my cousins and eating some frozen yogurt in Yobot. Tomorrow is a Vappu and my workday starts before five o'clock in the morning. I might be slightly tired in the afternoon. I hope your weekend was great. 

Little treasures for the coffee time

I found these fellows from the Hietsu flea market and from Kyläsaari recycle centre. These reminds me of my childhood. 


Today there is a big flea market in Herttoniemi. Let's see, if I will find more some nice things from there.  

Spring brings flea markets on the yards

Vink, vink: kevään kirppiskierrokset lähestyvät. Ensimmäisenä vuorossa lienee Herttoniemi jo tämän kuun lopussa 29.4. Sen jälkeen vuorossa ovat vielä ja Puu-Vallilan perinteinen pihakirppis 19.-20.5 ja Kumpula 26.5. Arabian kirpputorit osuvat myös keväälle, mutta koska, sitä en tiedä. Vielä. 

Le Marché aux Puces Saint-Ouen

Lauantaina on kirpputoripäivä! Tosin tälle kirpputorille en tänään pääse, mutta vielä viime maanantaina täällä pyörin. Le Marché aux Puces Saint-Ouen, Pariisissa. Love it, love it!

Rakastan niin kovin kirppisten tavararöykkiöitä, kauniita vanhoja esineitä ja tarinoita, joita ne kantavat mukanaan. Erityisesti pidän siisteistä ja ei pahalle haisevista kirpputoreista.
