I wish you all better New Year 2013

This year has been one of the hardest in my life and I won't be missing it at all. I simply wish the better and amazing New Year to you all and myself. Let there be love, healthy and happiness in our lives.

The year 2012 is over soon. Finished. Kaputt. According the weather in Helsinki, the winter might be over as well. It's +3°C and raining. Oh dear, it's so hard to walk on the wet and icy streets. 

Let's dream anyway about the perfect winter days as in this picture taken two days ago a bit more north from Helsinki. Have a wonderful last day of 2012.

He just loves his teddy bear (or mine, if we are precise). He takes it into his mouth and starts crying. It's heart breaking sound. 

Christmas in pictures

 

I spent my Christmas in Lapland with my family. For the first time ever I spent it somewhere else than at my childhood home. It was different, but refreshing. 

I skied a lot: I don't remember, when was the last time I skied or have I ever skied 15 km in a row. There were also a really good smoked sauna and a  frozen stream to cool off. Btw, it's funny how the -18 °C doesn't feel bad at all, when you are sweating on your skies.

Give yourself a Christmas present and go to see one of these (or both) films during the holidays, if you haven't already seen them. I was thinking earlier this year that it's going to be a bad film year: nothing really interesting or good hasn't been released. But I'm happy to be wrong, because in the end of the year there have been several good films to see. 

Christmas feelings from Stockholm

Cranberries in the ice ball

On Friday we had our office's Christmas party. I don't know, why I always get so mixed feelings about that kind of parties. Evening was made of OK food, bizarre restaurant, serious conversation, crazy conversations, bad singing, white wine and a bus driver who let me travel for free to home.

A long weekend

Task of the weekend: sleeping

Now, when the polar night has taken all of us, it's difficult to see the sun light even here in Helsinki. It's especially rare, if you happen to sleep until afternoon. It seems that I have had some lack of sleep lately and probably the jet lag is still interfering, because on Saturday and Sunday I slept until after noon. Gosh, I really don't like to spend my days sleeping, especially not at this time of the year, when you don't see any daylight.

Yesterday there was a nice little gig in Adam's: Sin Cos Tan released their first album. Today I've spent my day inside with the candle light, eating and reading. I hope tomorrow morning I'll be up a bit earlier than at noon.
